Torus, Inc. (operating as Torus Clean Energy) is a South Salt Lake, Utah-based energy storage and management company that designs, engineers, and manufactures full-stack energy infrastructure solutions for residential, commercial, and large-scale utility customers. Its flagship platform - **Torus Station** - unites battery storage, flywheel energy storage, software, cybersecurity, and 24/7 monitoring into a single unified system, built, installed, and maintained by one vendor. The company's differentiated **Torus Flywheel™** technology is a chemical-free alternative to traditional battery storage: it reacts in milliseconds, delivers 20x the power output of a battery, has a 25-year service life, and is 95% recyclable, making it well-suited for grid stabilization, demand response, and industrial resilience applications.

Torus also operates a **Virtual Power Plant (VPP)** ecosystem that aggregates thousands of distributed energy resources for grid management. Using AI and predictive analytics, the platform enables customers to participate in demand response programs, energy arbitrage, and frequency regulation. Torus is already collaborating with Rocky Mountain Power's industry-leading "Wattsmart" battery program, targeting 70 megawatts of demand response capacity across the western U.S. All manufacturing is done domestically in Utah using U.S.-sourced steel, reflecting a commitment to American energy supply chain independence.

For the U.S. energy supply chain, Torus represents a critical systems integration layer: its all-in-one platform addresses key grid pain points as thermal generation retires - holding frequency and voltage, expanding capacity in weeks rather than years, and relieving feeder congestion without costly new transmission lines. Serving electric utilities, hyperscalers, data centers, and industrial manufacturers, Torus is positioned at the intersection of distributed energy resources, grid resilience, and domestic clean energy manufacturing - making it a strategically important company as America works to modernize and harden its electricity infrastructure.
