Raptor Maps is a Boston-based (Somerville, MA) AI-powered solar asset management platform founded by two MIT engineers. The company pioneered drone-based aerial thermography for solar sites and interactive, map-based digital twins that give solar owners and operators comprehensive visibility into the health and performance of their assets. Its core product, Raptor Solar, ingests data from aerial drones, ground sensors, and plant equipment to automate visual inspections, conduct root cause analysis, direct O&M efforts, and verify construction and remediation progress - all through an intuitive map-based interface. The platform also includes Raptor Solar Sentry, an autonomous drone system enabling remotely operated, BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) missions that can inspect sites day or night without dispatching personnel.
