Perpetua Resources Corp. (Nasdaq/TSX: PPTA) is a Boise, Idaho-based mining and environmental restoration company developing the Stibnite Gold Project in central Idaho - the only identified domestic reserve of antimony in the United States. The project is located at an abandoned historic mine site in the Stibnite-Yellow Pine district, and Perpetua's development plan is uniquely designed to restore the legacy contamination while producing critical minerals. The Stibnite Gold Project contains an estimated 4.8 million ounce gold reserve (expected to rank among the highest-grade open pit gold mines in the country) alongside a 148-million-pound antimony reserve. During the first six years of operations, the project is anticipated to supply approximately 35% of total U.S. antimony demand.

Antimony is a federally designated critical mineral essential to national defense (munitions), clean energy (grid-scale batteries and flame retardants), and advanced technology. China dominates global antimony supply and in late 2024 cut off all antimony exports to the United States, making Perpetua's project an urgent national security priority. The company has been awarded $80 million in Department of Defense Defense Production Act (DPA) Title III funding to advance construction readiness, and in May 2026 the Export-Import Bank of the United States approved a landmark $2.9 billion loan to finance construction and development of the project. A portion of Perpetua's antimony output is contracted to supply Ambri, a US company developing liquid metal grid-scale batteries. The project also commits to removing legacy tailings, restoring miles of river and fish habitat, and providing a net wetland acreage increase.

After entering the federal NEPA permitting process in 2016, Perpetua received the Final Record of Decision from the U.S. Forest Service in January 2025, a watershed milestone after 8+ years of environmental review and 23,000+ public letters of support. The company has since begun Early Works construction activities. The project is expected to create an average of 550 jobs in rural Idaho during operations and contribute more than $1 billion in investment to the region. Perpetua's significance to the US energy and defense supply chain is profound: it represents the only viable domestic pathway to eliminate reliance on Chinese antimony imports for both military munitions and clean energy storage technologies.

Previously received a $2.7B indicative term sheet from EXIM in 2025. Company has raised capital through equity markets via Nasdaq and Toronto Stock Exchange listings.
