Our Next Energy (ONE) is a Michigan-based energy storage technology company founded in 2020, focused on engineering high-performance lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells and pack systems for grid storage, rail, defense, and industrial applications. The company operates two Michigan manufacturing facilities: the ONE Circle gigafactory in Van Buren Township - its inaugural LFP cell factory - and a pack manufacturing facility in Novi. ONE's vertically integrated approach spans cell to system, producing its proprietary Opposed-Terminal Prismatic (OTP™) 110 Ah LFP cells capable of 12-minute fast charging and survivability under extreme conditions (including deep-sea pressures), and its Top-Terminal Prismatic (TTP™) 314 Ah cells engineered for grid-scale energy storage systems. Both facilities have achieved ISO 9001 Quality certification and the OTP cell carries UN 38.3 Safety certification, reflecting ONE's maturation into a production-ready U.S. OEM.

ONE's technology platform is differentiated by its use of iron-based chemistries that eliminate reliance on nickel and cobalt, making its batteries safer (dramatically reducing the risk of thermal runaway), more sustainable, and less exposed to conflict-mineral supply chains. The company's product lineup includes the Aries™ LFP pack for trucks and commercial vehicles, the Aries™ Grid DC energy storage system, and a full suite of grid products including cells, modules, and a U.S.-made battery management system (BMS) - all positioned to help customers qualify for the domestic content Investment Tax Credit (ITC) bonus. In early 2026, ONE strategically exited passenger automotive EV development to sharpen its focus on rail, defense, and grid markets, securing $35M in new purchase orders and targeting cash-flow breakeven by end of 2026.

ONE is critically important to the U.S. energy supply chain as one of the few domestic LFP cell manufacturers producing at commercial scale in America. As the U.S. grid-scale battery storage market surges - growing 66% in 2024 alone to 10.4 GWh and projected to exceed 100 GWh by 2030 - ONE offers a rare fully domestic alternative to Chinese-dominated LFP supply chains. Its Michigan manufacturing footprint, dual-use applicability across defense and civilian infrastructure, ITC-eligible domestic content, and ISO-certified quality standards position it as a strategically vital supplier for U.S. energy independence, infrastructure resilience, and defense readiness.
