CarbonCapture Inc. is a Los Angeles-based direct air capture (DAC) company that develops, manufactures, and deploys modular systems to remove CO₂ directly from the atmosphere. Their flagship technology uses solid sorbents that absorb atmospheric carbon dioxide when cooled and release it when heated - enabling precise capture and either permanent underground geological storage or conversion into valuable products like sustainable fuels, low-carbon concrete, and carbon black. Manufacturing is based in Mesa, Arizona, while R&D and prototyping are co-located at its Los Angeles headquarters. The company has pre-sold over $26 million in carbon removal credits to marquee buyers including Microsoft, Alphabet, Meta, Stripe, Shopify, Boston Consulting Group, McKinsey & Company, and JPMorgan Chase. Through its subsidiary True North Carbon, it is also expanding internationally with the Tamarack project, slated to be Canada's largest single-technology DAC deployment.
